Last Update date : 2024-09-29
The Samsung G9 monitor supports Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected devices to turn on or off with the monitor. Here’s how to configure and troubleshoot Anynet+.
Starting Anynet+
To start Anynet+ and ensure connected devices turn on with the monitor:
- Home > (left directional button) > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
- Verify that Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On.
Troubleshooting Anynet+ Issues
1
Exiting Anynet+ or Dealing with Device Power Issues
- Problem: When Anynet+ is active, connected devices (e.g., set-top boxes) also turn on or off with the monitor, which may be inconvenient.
- Solution: To disable Anynet+ for a specific device, turn off the Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) function for that device.
- Home > (left directional button) > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
- Home > (left directional button) > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
2
Sound Bar Issues
- Problem: When Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is turned off, a sound bar connected via HDMI (ARC) does not turn off or on with the monitor.
- Solution: To prevent automatic power cycling of specific devices, disable HDMI-CEC on those devices.
3
Configuration Messages and Remote Control Use
- Problem: Messages like "Connecting to Anynet+ device..." or "Disconnecting from Anynet+ device" appear, and the remote control doesn’t work during configuration.
- Solution: Wait until Anynet+ configuration is complete or the monitor has switched to the viewing screen before using the remote control.
4
Device Playback Issues
- Problem: The Anynet+ device won’t play content.
- Solution: Ensure that a Factory Data Reset is not in progress, as this can affect playback functions.
