No audio or poor sound quality from Samsung monitor
Built-in speakers are a common feature in modern monitors. When these speakers fail to function, the usual culprits are misconfigured settings or faulty cables. To address this problem, you can troubleshoot by verifying connections, adjusting volume settings, conducting a sound test, or utilizing a device other than your monitor to play audio.
Some monitor models come with a remote and work more like a TV. These models typically include a sound test, which can be found by selecting Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care> Self Diagnosis>Sound Test.
If you receive a "Not Available" message on your screen, it means that the monitor is set to use external speakers but no external speakers are connected. In the Sound menu, navigate to Speaker Select and set it to TV Speaker to use the monitor's built-in speakers instead.
Using the monitor's controls, increase the volume, and then try to hear the audio again. The volume may have been too low or muted.
You can also try to reset the sound.
Reset the current sound settings to the default settings.
• Menu> Settings> All Settings> Sound Expert> Settings Reset Sound
Check the cable connection between the product and the external device.
When connecting an external speaker, such as a home theater, via HDMI, make sure it is connected to the HDMI (ARC).
port on the product. Make sure that the Menu> Settings >All Settings >Connection >External Device Manager Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is active on your product.
Unplug all cables connected to the monitor at both ends of each cable. Then, plug all the cables back in again. Make sure to use cables that you know are working (by testing them with other devices or using new cables).
Connect something else to your device instead of your monitor (like some speakers or headphones, or even a different monitor or TV) and see if the audio issue continues. If it does, then the monitor is not the cause of the issue.
Find another device to connect to your monitor using the same type of connection (and a cable that works). If your monitor can play audio from any other device using the same port as the first device, then the monitor is not the cause of the issue.
