Connecting SmartThings to Refrigerator

You can monitor and control your Samsung refrigerator remotely using the SmartThings app on your smartphone or tablet. Adjust the temperature, receive door alerts, and optimize your routines easily.
Steps to Connect Your Refrigerator

Make sure your Wi-Fi router and Refrigerator are both turned on.

Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone.
- Swipe down to open the Quick Settings panel and turn on Wi-Fi if it’s off.

Open the SmartThings app.
- Go to the Devices tab and tap Add (+) in the top right corner

Tap Scan QR Code and follow the on-screen instructions
- QR code location may vary by product.

If you prefer manual selection:
- Tap refrigerator, then Samsung, and tap refrigerator again. Tap Start.

On the refrigerator, press and hold the Fridge button for 5+ seconds until "AP" appears
- Some models may skip this step.
- Tap Can't find the button? if needed.

Wait for the refrigerator to display "AP."
- Keep your phone close to the refrigerator during this step.

Connect to Wi-Fi by selecting your network and entering the password.

Once connected, the refrigerator will register to your Samsung account. Tap Done to finish.
