Draining your Samsung Heat Pump Smart Dryer
It is advised that you empty the water tank in Samsung Heat Pump Smart Dryers after each usage to stop leaks from occurring. To use as an addition to the primary drain line, you can install the long drain pipe that is provided.
Follow the guide below to see how you can drain your heat pump dryer with or without using the water tank.
It is advised that you empty the built-in water tank after each usage to stop leaks as it will be utilized by default to drain accumulated water.
If you have a LED type control panel, the "Empty the Tank" alert can show up as the following icon:
CAUTION:
- The water tank is heavy. Slowly remove the water tank using both hands while keeping the tank at a level.
- Be careful when removing the full water tank. It is very heavy and can cause injury if you drop it.
Mix some neutral detergent in lukewarm water. Fill the water tank with the mixture through the drain hole (B) and leave it for 30 minutes. Then, rinse the tank with clean water and completely dry it.
Connecting the drain pipe to your drainage system is highly advised. Use the supplementary hose provided if the drain pipe attached to the dryer is too short to reach the drainage system (long drain hose).
If you are unable to connect the drain hose to a drainage system, simply use the built-in water tank.
Note: As a factory default, the dryer is set to use the built-in water tank to drain condensed water.
Choose one of the following methods to attach the accessory hose's other end (outlet) to the drainage system:
Note:
- Do not extend the drain hose. Water may leak from the connected area. Use a long drain hose.
