Information code for my Samsung dishwasher (5C/5E, 4C/4E,LC/LE)

5C/5E, 4C/4E, and LC/LE are the information codes for water-related issues in the dishwasher. Please check the causes and solutions for each code below. If the information code continues to be shown on the display. 

Cause

Drain hose

- Frozen or ice-covered hose

- The hose is bent or folded

- The hose is clogged

- Remove the hose, soak it in warm water, and melt the ice inside the hose. Please ensure not to break the hose.

- Straighten the hose.

- Remove the hose and get rid of any foreign substances.

Drain pump failure

- Broken plate fragments or other debris caught in the pump impeller

- Unscrew the pump mount and remove foreign substances or contact the Samsung service center.

Filter clogged

- Filter clogged by food waste

-Clean the Filter

Control board problem

- The control board failure

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

Sensor malfunction

- Malfunction of a pressure switch

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

4C/4E: Water supply issues

Cause 

Solution

Water supply valve

- Closed Water supply valve

- Frozen or ice-covered water supply valve

- Defective water supply valve

- filter on water supply valve clogged by foreign substances

 Open the valve.

- Melt the frozen valve by repeating the method of soaking a towel in 50~60℃ hot water and wrapping it around the valve part. (Please be careful and avoid burns from excessively hot water.)

- Please contact the Samsung service center to replace the valve.

- Clean away foreign material on the filter of the water valve.

Drain pump failure

- Frozen or ice-covered hose

- The hose is bent or folded

- Remove the hose, soak it in warm water, and melt the ice inside the hose. Please ensure not to break the hose.

Control board problem

- The control board failure

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

LC/LE: Leak issues

Cause 

Solution

Hose leak

- Loose water supply hose connection

- Water supply or drain hose hole

- Tighten the water supply hose.

- Temporarily apply insulation tape. If there is no effect after that, please contact the Samsung service center.

Drain pump failure

- Old gaskets are worn and leaks during cleaning

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

TUB leak

- Defective TUB

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

Dispenser problem

- Use handwash detergent not dishwasher detergent or too much detergent

- In case the dispenser is filled with an excessive amount of rinse aid

- Damaged dispenser

- Use dishwasher detergent and use a small amount of detergent.

- Remove the rinse aid with a wet towel.

- Please contact the Samsung service center.

Filter clogged

- Filter clogged by food waste

- Clean the filter.

Dishwasher level

- Dishwasher leaning to forward

 Level the dishwasher by adjusting the three or four leveling feet. (See the image below.)
