Use the Auto door open function on your Samsung dishwasher
You won’t need to worry about opening your dishwasher’s door after a cycle has completed as it can be done automatically. Just set the dishwasher to automatically open the door after each cycle for the best drying results.
Note: On some dishwasher models, the Auto door open function is activated by default after all cycles have been completed. It will improve drying performance by discharging internal steam after washing, rinsing, and drying cycles are finished. We do not recommend turning off the Auto door open function.
Keep in mind the instructions for turning on the Auto door open function will differ depending on your dishwasher model. This feature is not available on all models. For steps specific to your model, check your user manual.
Notes:
• Once the door opens in Auto Release Dry mode, the door cannot be manually closed for the next 2 minutes.
• Disabling Auto Release Dry mode can affect the drying capabilities. Enable Auto Release Dry for better results.
• For all models except DW60BB89* models:
STEP 1
Press the Hygiene Plus and Delay Start buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
STEP 2
Press Hygiene Plus until “A1” or “A0” is displayed.
STEP 3
Press Delay Start to enter the sub-menu.
STEP 4
Press Hygiene Plus until “A1” (enabled) or “A0” (disabled) is displayed.
STEP 5
Press Delay Start to save the new setting.
• For DW60BB89* models:
STEP 1
Turn the dishwasher on, and then press the Option button.
STEP 2
Navigate to the Auto Release Dry option by using the Left or Right buttons.
STEP 3
Press the Start button to enter the sub-menu.
STEP 4
Using the Left or Right buttons, select On (function enabled) or Off (function disabled).
STEP 5
Press the Start button to save the new setting.
STEP 1
Turn the dishwasher on, and then press and hold the AUTO cycle button for 5 seconds. The display will show “0:00” when you enter the setting mode.
STEP 2
Press the Speed Booster button to select the Auto door open function setting menu. The display will show the current setting (the default setting is A1).
STEP 3
Press the AUTO cycle button to change the setting.

Press the Multi tab button to select the Auto door open function setting menu. The display will show the current setting (the default setting is A1).

Press the AUTO or Program cycle button to change the setting.
