What to Do If the Ice Bucket in the Refrigerator Is Stuck
Don't try to force your ice bucket out if it's stuck and won't budge. You should just need to shake it loosely with a small amount of mild wriggling. If you've never taken out your ice bucket before, don't worry; most of them have a trick to them, like a specific angle to pull at, that makes it much simpler. Some variants also have a button or lever to release the ice bucket.
The majority of ice buckets can be pulled out in one motion by lifting them up and pulling them towards you.
- If you aren't sure how to remove it, refer to your user manual to ensure that you are removing it appropriately.
- If the ice bucket can't be removed easily, it's probably frozen. Give it time to defrost, and then proceed to remove it; avoid using force to detach it; and refrain from employing tools like a hair dryer for defrosting. If additional help is required, please Contact us for assistance.
Note: If the ice bucket is frozen, avoid forcing it out or defrosting it with anything like a hair dryer.
Some ice makers are located in the freezer section rather than the refrigerator section. Clear the ice from the ice bucket in the freezer section, then try to remove it by lifting it up and pulling it towards you.
Note: If a block of ice forms, then look for a white wire that is dangling from the ice maker. If you see this wire, please avoid touching it and reach out to us immediately.
If the Ice maker is frozen completely please contact us.
