What to do when the dishwasher shows LE or LC error?

The fastest way to find the source of the leak is to look and feel for moisture, but the moisture will only be there right after a leak occurs. Therefore, you should run a test cycle to find the source of the leak.

Remember to turn the dishwasher off at the circuit breaker as soon as you confirm visible signs of a leak or the dishwasher displays an error.

When inspecting, look and feel for moisture, damage, loose connections, or gaps between the assembled parts. Make sure to inspect:

• Where the hose connects to the dishwasher
• Where the hose connects to your home
• The entire length of the hose

If the dishwasher is not level from left to right, the door could be bumping the cabinets on either side, preventing it from closing completely.

If the dishwasher is not level front to back, and especially if the front is lower than the back, water will pool up at the door and potentially leak out.

The rubber seal can be pulled out of alignment at times. If this occurs, simply push it back into the channel.

It's also important that the seal is very clean. Any foreign material on the seal could potentially create a gap big enough for water to leak out. A towel with mild soap is a good way to clean it off.

If the cabinet screws are over-tightened, it will stretch the sides of the dishwasher, causing gaps that can leak.

Measure across the opening exactly where the screws are. It should measure exactly 22 inches. If it measures more than that, loosen the cabinet screws until the issue is corrected.

If there's food stuck in the nozzles (or the jets or anywhere that water sprays out of), the food may be diverting the spray of water to spray straight at the door with enough force to push it through the seal, causing a leak. Make sure all the nozzles and jets are clean.

When checking for the leakage issue, make sure that you are safe by turning off the dishwasher and preferably removing the plug from the power source outlet. It is a much safer and recommended action to do to avoid any accident.

• Inspect the water supply hose, check the connections at both ends, and look for and feel for moisture. If a leak is found, turn off the water supply or clean the moisture.
• Please observe after some time, if the leak is still there or not.

• If you recently moved the dishwasher, some water may have splashed near the sensor underneath. Give it time to dry or if you can find the leakage, then try to remove it by using a cloth.

Detergent is moist enough to activate the moisture sensor and cause the error, and it doesn't evaporate away and dry as quickly as water does. If you've been using too much detergent, excess may linger in the dishwasher's system. Make sure the detergent dispenser has not been overfilled. Detergent should not be added outside of the dispenser.
