Galaxy S23 Series: 8K Video High Bitrate Issue After Update
Having issues with video quality? Users of the Samsung S23 series have recently experienced an unanticipated problem when recording in 8K video mode as a result of a software update. Follow along as we investigate the problem surrounding the absence of the High Bitrate option and identify potential fixes to improve your video recording experience.
The High Bitrate Videos:
Camera Settings > Advanced Video Options > High Bitrate Videos
Option in the camera app is useful for those needing high-definition video mode.
However, because it is recorded at a high bitrate (up to twice that of general video mode), using more storage space, and using a separate high-efficiency compression codec (HEVC), it may not be recorded normally depending on the usage environment, and it is confirmed that it may not be played, normally on a device or TV that does not support the codec.
Therefore, the selectable option High bitrate videos’ has changed to not support recording 8K video mode in the latest Software version.
Please understand that it is not inevitably supported for more stable and optimized usability.
Navigate to Camera > Camera Settings > Advanced Video Options > High Bitrate Videos (which supports up to twice the bitrate of general video mode).
