How to Extend Battery Life and Use Power-Saving Modes on Watch7 and Watch Ultra
You can turn on the Power Saving option to save battery. There is also a new 'Limit health features' option for longer usage time. When 'Power Saving' mode is on, it turns off several features (Wi-Fi, Always On Display, Wake-up gesture) and limits some functions (CPU performance, background network usage, location, syncing, brightness, screen timeout).
The 'Limit health features' option is on by default. When enabled, it turns off features like workout auto-detection, high and low heart rate alerts, background heart rate monitoring, and movement/respiration tracking during sleep.
Your sleep score won't be calculated. You can turn it off in the settings if you prefer.
- Watch > Settings > Battery > Power saving, Limit health features
For the Watch Ultra model, an exclusive 'Exercise power saving' mode is available. When enabled, it turns on automatically whenever you start exercising, applying the following limitations:
- Less accurate GPS and heart rate data recordings during exercise
- Bluetooth turned off
- All network connections blocked, including calls and messages
- No audio guide during exercise
- Screen not turned on by Wake-up gesture and split guide
You can change the setting before starting a workout.
- Watch Ultra > Samsung Health app > Exercise > Settings > Exercise power saving
With newly added “Limit health feature” option allows for longer usage time. If you do not want to limit health features, you can turn off this setting separately.
If you do not want to limit health features during exercise, you can change this setting when you start exercising.
- Samsung Health app > Exercise > Settings Exercise Power Saving
