How to fix the notifications not appearing on my Samsung device?
In our mobile-driven world, smartphones play a vital role in keeping us connected through timely notifications from various apps. Yet, it's frustrating when these notifications fail to arrive as expected on Samsung devices. This article addresses the common reasons behind this issue and offers troubleshooting steps to resolve it.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick notification panel.
- Open the Quick Notification Panel.
- Tap the Power Savings icon to turn it off.
This could be preventing notifications from displaying.
- Open the Quick Notification Panel.
- Tap the Do not disturb icon to deactivate it.
This could also be blocking notifications.
- Navigate to Settings > App > Connections > Data Usage > Data Saver.
- Toggle off Data Saver mode.
- Go to Settings > App > Battery > Background Usage Limits.
- Turn off Put unused apps to sleep.
Note: If you have added any apps to sleeping apps, it means they have entered a powering save mode. If they are "sleeping," some of their functions may be unavailable when the app is closed. For example, they may not send notifications.
- Go to the Settings app.
- Select Notifications > App Notifications.
- Enable notifications for the desired app(s).
- Go to the Settings app.
- Select Apps.
- Tap the more options (three vertical dots) in the top right corner.
- Choose Reset App Preferences and confirm.
- Go to the Settings app.
- Select Apps.
- Tap on the desired app.
- Go to Storage and select Clear Cache.
- Go to the Settings App.
- Select Apps.
- Tap on an app and choose App Details in Store.
- If updates are available, tap Update.
- Go to the Settings app.
- Navigate to Software Update.
- Tap Download and Install if an update is available.
