How to format a memory card on your Galaxy device?

Using an SD card is a great way to expand and manage your storage. It's cost-effective, frees up internal memory, and is easily removable. Formatting an SD card may also help if you're having persistent issues setting up or using your external memory, however, it will permanently wipe any data that you have stored on it.
How to format your SD Card using My Files app

Navigate to and tap on 
My Files app

Scroll down to the Storage section

Tap on the SD card

Tap on More options (Three vertical dots) on the top Right corner

Select Format

Confirm by tapping Format again
Note:
- Make sure that any files you want to keep are backed up before formatting your SD card.
