How to remove external factors that affect the sound of Samsung device?
The sound of the mobile device can be affected by common external factors with which we are less careful or in certain situations. Here are some notes to check how to make proper use of the protective accessories, hardener liquid, and get out of the emergency case of underwater exposure for better sound.
Before you try out below recommendations, be sure to check if your device's software is updated with latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in following order.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Please note that you should not use non-Samsung approved protective accessories that cover the camera or flash. We recommend the use of Samsung-approved accessories.
Some of the non-Samsung approved protective accessories, such as film, covers, or vinyl that adhere to the back of the device, may cover the camera or flash, blocking the air path inside the device. Due to air path blockage, the receiving sound is not heard clearly or is interrupted irregularly, and the volume may also be low.
If the protective vinyl is not properly removed from the product and the microphone hole is blocked, broadcast sound may be heard or noise may occur. Please check the microphone on the bottom of the product and remove any protective plastic or foreign objects before use.
Note: Make sure to completely remove the protective vinyl that is adhered to the device.
Recently, when using a tempered glass product (dome glass type) along the protective films sold in the market, there are cases of damage to customers' devices, such as inconvenience in the use of smartphone product functions due to use excessive and misuse of hardening.
Note: Please be careful when attaching the protective film.
When using the hardening liquid, be careful not to infiltrate the liquid into the speaker or buttons of the smartphone.
As described above, product malfunction due to penetration of the hardener liquid can cause inconvenience in using the smartphone, as well as a charge to repair it. When buying a tempered glass protective film, please carefully observe the fixing precautions and pay special attention to the use of the remover liquid even when using it on the product to avoid damaging the smartphone.

If the device has been submerged in water or the speaker is wet, the sound may not be heard clearly during a call.
First, clean the device gently with a soft, dry cloth. Continue for a certain period to dry it completely before using the device. Also, for faster drying of the water on the speaker, it will be helpful to hold the device while the speaker is facing down and gently shake the device a few times to remove any remaining water. Despite this, when some moisture remains on the front speaker mesh, the sound may not be heard clearly. At this time, as this moisture can also be removed by the vibration of the speaker during the call, please check the sound status of the device while making the call for a period. If you continue to have problems with sound after trying these tips, visit a Samsung Service Center.
Note: This is for water resistance (IP68) phones only. Phones that are not waterproof cannot be exposed to liquids.
