How to Use Snore Detection on Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra and Optimal Phone Placement
Last Update date : 2024-07-16
The 'Snore detection' feature on the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra uses your connected phone to measure snoring. When the watch detects sleep, it automatically checks for snoring. For the best detection and recording, place your phone on a stable surface near your head, such as a nightstand, with the bottom of the phone pointed towards you.
Steps to enable Snore detection:
- On your Watch7 or Watch Ultra, go to Samsung Health > Settings > Sleep. The Health app will open on your connected phone.
- Tap to enable Snore detection:
- Always: Measure snoring whenever you are sleeping.
- Once: Measure snoring for one sleep session, then turn off snore detection.
Guidance:
- Connect your phone to the charger.
- Place the phone’s microphone so it faces you before sleeping.
- Snoring will be measured along with your other sleep records when you sleep while wearing the Watch7 or Watch Ultra.
Snoring may not be measured if:
- You do not set the snore detection feature to Always.
- You do not connect your phone to the charger before sleeping.
- You do not place the phone’s microphone so it faces you before sleeping.
Note:
- The Snore detection feature can be turned on in the Samsung Health app (version 6.18 or later) on your connected phone.
- The default setting is off. You can set it to Always, Once (which turns off automatically after the first time check), and On (using the Samsung Health app on your phone).
