Iris detection is having problems on Samsung phone.
The Iris scanner in your Galaxy phone employs biometric data from your eyes to secure your device, ensuring that only you can access and unlock it. If you encounter difficulties while registering your iris or if your phone struggles to detect your eyes, it may be attributed to issues with the camera lens or the surrounding environment. Feel free to consult our guidelines for utilizing the Iris scanner on your phone.
Notes: Not all phone models support the Iris scan feature.
Your phone may encounter difficulty recognizing your irises in the following situations:
- If the device is positioned too far from your face, ensure it is within a range of 10-13 inches.
- If your eyes are obscured or challenging to identify, for instance, when wearing glasses or contact lenses.
- If you have ptosis, an eye disease, or if you have undergone eye surgery.
- If the camera lens is dirty or damaged.
- If the lighting conditions significantly differ from those during the iris registration, such as in direct sunlight.
- If a case or protective vinyl obstructs the iris LED or camera lens. Consult your user manual to verify the location of the LED and camera lens.
