Protecting my SmartTag2 and what its attached to

If you lose the SmartTag 2, you can protect it by having it send you a notification. You can also protect your SmartTag 2 and what it’s attached to by displaying emergency contact information on the other person's mobile device when they have found your SmartTag 2 and what it’s attached to and try to recognize it with their mobile devices, and locking the SmartTag 2 so that others cannot connect to it. For example, if the pet that the SmartTag 2 is attached to becomes lost, the guardian’s contact information can be checked by placing a mobile device on the SmartTag 2 to recognize it
- the mobile device to recognize the SmartTag 2 must support the NFC feature and be set to Standard mode .
- When trying to recognize the SmartTag 2 with the mobile device, ensure that the mobile device’s screen is turned on and unlocked. Otherwise, the mobile device will not receive data .
- To recognize the SmartTag 2 with your mobile device, place your mobile device’s NFC antenna area over the SmartTag 2’s button .
- Open the SmartThings app on your mobile device.
- Tap Life → Find → More → Lost mode.
- Read the on-screen instructions and tap Next.
- Enter the information and tap Turn on.
