Ringtones are not working on the Samsung Galaxy phone.

Close any apps and stop playing any media before increasing the volume on your device with the volume controls. If you have headphones plugged in, the earbud audio will be amplified instead. Remove your headphones to enhance the loudness of your smartphone. If you don't hear any sounds, you should check your speaker.

You can set a default or custom ringtone for your phone, as well as a ringtone for a specific contact. It is also possible to customize the sounds and tones used for alerts and notifications. If you've set a custom ringtone for other apps that enable calling or video calling, check the sound settings in that app. Contact the app's developer for additional assistance.

Navigate to Settings, tap Accessibility, and then tap Hearing Enhancements. Tap the switch next to Mute all sounds to turn it off.

To open the Quick Settings panel > Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers. If airplane mode is on, the symbol will be blue; tap it to disable airplane mode.

Also, go to Settings and then Modes and Routines. Select Digital Wellbeing. Turn off any settings that may cause the ringtone to be muffled, such as Sleep or Relax.

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to reveal the Quick Settings panel, and then touch and hold the Do Not Disturb symbol to check its settings. Do Not Disturb may have been mistakenly engaged for a lengthy period of time. You can specify exceptions if you want to keep Do Not Disturb on but still receive calls from particular people.

Swipe two fingers down from the top of the screen, then tap the power icon. To confirm, tap Restart and then Restart again. Wait for your phone to restart before checking to see if the ringtone problem has been repaired. If nothing else works, an app may be interfering with your ringtones. To return things to normal, perform a factory reset on your phone. Before installing any apps, test your ringtones.
