How to connect Bluetooth devices to your Samsung TV
Some Samsung TVs include Bluetooth capabilities, allowing them to connect wirelessly to speakers, headphones, hearing aids, and other devices. Connect a Bluetooth soundbar to your TV to maximize the enjoyment of your favorite movie, or connect headphones for a private viewing. You can also connect a Bluetooth keyboard or controller to make finding movies and TV series easier than ever.
You can connect Bluetooth audio devices to the TV. They must be paired using the TV's Bluetooth function.
Here is how to watch your Samsung TV without broadcasting to the entire house.
- Search for and connect to your TV from the (Bluetooth) device list on your mobile device.
- Select media content to play on your mobile device.
Note:
- Some models enter Ambient Mode, Art mode, or Portrait Mode automatically, and then play the selected media contents.
- If the TV and the sound bar are connected wirelessly, the operation may be restricted.
To make controlling the TV simpler, you may use Bluetooth to connect a keyboard, mouse, or gamepad.
Note:
- If your device wasn't recognized, position the keyboard close to the TV and choose Refresh. The TV does another check for available devices.
- If the device you wish to connect is not displayed, try selecting the Refresh option and make sure that your device is switched on and set to pair.
- If a mouse is connected, it can only be used in the Internet app.
You can turn on both the TV speaker and Bluetooth headphones designed for the hearing impaired at the same time. The hearing impaired can then set the volume of their Bluetooth headphone higher than the volume of the TV speaker without affecting the volume of the TV speaker, allowing both the hearing impaired and their families to listen to the TV at comfortable sound levels.
Note:
- You can't use Bluetooth devices and the Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup feature simultaneously.
- The TV and Bluetooth device may disconnect, depending on the distance between them.
- The sound may frequently be interrupted when a Bluetooth speaker is used. To minimize interruptions, we recommend a wireless access point that uses a 5 GHz frequency.
