How to edit channels on your Samsung TV
You can edit the channels stored on your Samsung TV.
To access the Edit Channels screen, follow the steps below.
For the latest Samsung TV models:
Accessing the channel edit screen
- Display the Guide screen, and press Edit Channels / Edit on the left of the screen to access the edit-channel screen.
- Display the Channel List screen, and press Edit Channels / Edit on the bottom of the screen to access the edit channel screen.

3. Additional options related to broadcast programmes
Navigate to the desired programme and press and hold the Select button to access the following options:
- Schedule Viewing You can schedule the viewing of a broadcast-scheduled programme
- Cancel Scheduled Viewing You can cancel scheduled viewings.
- View Details You can see detailed information about the
- selected programme. The information may differ or not be provided depending on the broadcast signal.
- Record You can make a recording of a current programme.
- Stop You can stop the recording function that is currently running.
- Edit Recording Time You can change the start and end times of scheduled programme recordings.
- Schedule Recording You can schedule recording of a broadcast scheduled programme.
- Cancel Scheduled Recording You can cancel scheduled recordings.
Note: You can also access the Edit Channel screen from the left side of the guide screen.
You can remove or restore a channel that is stored on your Samsung TV by following the steps below.
Step 1. From Edit Channels, select the channel you would like to delete.
Step 2. After selecting the channel, press Delete to remove the channel.
The deleted channel will no longer appear on the Channel List and will be greyed out on the Edit Channels screen.
To restore a channel, navigate to the Edit Channels screen, select a deleted channel, and then press the Restore button.
Follow the steps below to Lock or Unlock a channel.
Step 1. From the Edit Channels screen, select the channel that you would like to lock.
Step 2. Press the Lock button and enter a PIN to restrict access to certain channels that require parental guidance.
Step 3. Locked channels will display a lock icon and can only be accessed by entering your PIN.
Step 4. To unlock a channel, navigate to the Edit Channels screen and select a locked channel, then press the Unlock button and enter your PIN.
You can add a channel to Favorites by following the steps below.
Step 1. From the Edit Channels screen, press the left directional button on your remote control and select a Favorites list.
Step 2. Press the right directional button on your remote control to select Add Channels.
Step 3. From the Channel List, select the channels you would like to add.
Step 4. Press Add to save the selected channels to a favorites list.
The channels added to Favorites will display a ♥ icon in the channel list.
Note: Up to five Favorites can be created, which allows each member of the family to create their own Favorites list.
