My galaxy device is not fast charging how do I fix it?
The latest Galaxy mobile devices are equipped with both cable and wireless charging modes. This comprehensive guide will show you how to enable these features, so you can take advantage of faster charging for your Galaxy device.
We provide various fast charging options depending on your device and adapter. You can select either cable or wireless.
For cable fast charging, there are three types: Adaptive Fast Charging (max 15W), Super Fast Charging (max 25W), and Super Fast Charging 2.0 (max 45W).
There are two types for wireless fast charging: Fast Charge 1.0 (max 9W) and Fast Charge 2.0 (max 15W).

- It's highly recommended to use Samsung authorized adapters and cables for optimal performance and safety.
- Fast charging of your Galaxy device may vary depending on device model and condition of the adapter or cable.
- To check if your device supports fast charging, check the enclosed manual or relevant product information on samsung.com when purchasing the product.
The first step is to make sure the fast charging option is enabled

- The name of the menu may vary depending on the device model and software version.
- "Fast charging" activation is for cable charging and "Fast wireless charging" is for wireless charging. Select and enable the charging method you prefer.
- While charging, do not enable or disable this feature on your device.
Next, make sure you use a suitable adapter and cable
Different types of chargers have varied power outputs. For optimal performance, we recommend using a Samsung authorized fast charging adapter.
Adaptive Fast Charging
- Samsung chargers that support 9V-1.67A (15W) power output show the ‘Adaptive Fast Charging’ text with a charging icon
Super Fast Charging
- Samsung chargers that support 9V-2.77A (25W), 15V-3A (45W), or 20V-2.25A (45W) power outputs show the ‘Super Fast Charging’ text with a charging icon

Follow these steps if your fast wireless charging is not working
For optimal performance, use a Samsung authorized fast wireless charging pad and/or the in-box adapter.
- Fast Charging 1.0 needs the adapter which supports above 15W power (max 9W charging power)
- Fast Charging 2.0 needs the adapter which supports above 25W power (max 15W charging power)
Some models may only work with the in-box adapter. For more information, please check the enclosed manual or the samsung.com product information when purchasing your device.
