What is 'T9'?

Based on predictive text input method, T9 (""Text on 9 keys"") enables the entry of desired characters by pressing only one of the 9 numerical figure buttons. In Layman's terms, this means that to reach your desired word, you only need to press each relevant button once. For example, 'dog' can be achieved by pressing ""3, 6, 4"" only once each. You can cycle through words in the dictionary that share the same combinations, by pressing the ""0"" button. This function is now imbedded on over 180 handsets produced by many handset manufacturers.
