Read on to discover a few of the Flip and Fold highlights. And remember, the future is folding…

Form Factor

Bending without the breaking — the standout design features on the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 devices are the foldable glass screens.

Samsung continues to innovate with incredible technology which allows for foldable screens while maintaining durability.By making a leap from polymer screens to ultra-thin glass technology, the flexible screens on both devices was put through a strenuous test that saw it folded more than 200,000 times¹!

Built to Last

As with the folding glass screens, the new incarnation of Galaxy Z devices are built with incredible craftsmanship; which has built and improved upon previous generations of Galaxy devices.

Breakthroughs in durability include the strongest aluminium ever used on a Galaxy smartphone, alongside the toughest Galaxy casing yet —which can withstand accidental drops and scratching — combined with a protective film, results in a screen that’s 80 per cent more durable than previous devices² . And last, but by no means least, for the first time ever on a foldable smartphone, the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 are IPX8 rated³.

  • ¹ Based on third party testing. Fold tested 200,000 times at Room Temp (25°C).
  • ² Compared with Galaxy Z Fold2.
  • ³ Based on test conditions for submersion in up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Refer to your phone’s user manual for care instructions and limitations.

Size Matters

When it comes to our dream smartphones, we want a bigger screen for working, watching, creating, filming and everything in between, yet we want to retain a portable, pocket-sized footprint. It was a conundrum that seemed unsolvable. Until now that is. Enter the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.

While the human hand isn’t going to get any bigger anytime soon, with Samsung’s engineering these devices allow for a screen that opens out into a large 7.6 inch flex display. Perfect for immersive entertainment, when fully opened the ultra-thin glass screen transforms into a mobile multimedia hub. A hub that allows you to binge your favourite shows, stream YouTube, and play games, all paired with newly upgraded Dolby speakers, so that you can get sound with incredible clarity and depth, no matter what you’re watching.

Fashion Forward

Just as accessories have been a way to accentuate a look and add to an ensemble, Samsung have recognised that our phones can’t be overlooked when it comes to making a style statement. And for style-seekers who want some fashion with their function, the futuristic Flip and Fold devices are a go-to.
The embodiment of fashion meets phone, the sleek, iconic flip design, and features, come with a choice of stunning hues available on each handset. On the Z Flip3 fussy fashionistas can choose between cream, lavender, green and ‘phantom black’, while the Z Fold3 is available in ‘phantom black’, ‘phantom green’, and ‘phantom silver’. Additionally, following two successful launches, Samsung have once again partnered with Thom Browne, for a limited edition collection that fuses the US fashion designer’s signature colour palette with the streamlined glass bodies of the Flip and Fold.

Fashion meets form, style meets tech. These devices prove that a necessity can also be an accessory, and that fashion doesn’t just end with what you wear.

Office on The Go

Thanks to COVID-19, remote working is here to stay. Though this means less chats with co-workers around the water cooler, on the flip side it also frees up employees to work flexibly, both in terms of hours, and location. And when it comes to smartphones that are capable of boosting productivity on the go, the functionality of the new Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 comes out well and truly on top. With tablet-like functionality, this is a portable office that fits neatly into the palm of your hand.

For the first time ever on the Galaxy Z series, Samsung has included its beloved Note series S Pen features with these devices now being S Pen compatible. A perfect fit for busy multitaskers, note taking and sending messages is seamless and intuitive, and the oversized screen makes it easy to take notes during a video call, or to tick off ‘to dos’ while reading emails.

Samsung has also expanded partnerships with Google and Microsoft, so users can enjoy more streamlined software and a greater experience, including fully optimised video chatting on Microsoft Teams, and the dual-pane mode on Microsoft Outlook, which allows users to read a full email, while previewing others on the side, exactly like the desktop experience.

Lastly, the redesigned cover screen is now four times larger, allowing users to view notifications as well as their daily schedule without having to open the device. Combined this business one stop shop allows you to work anytime, anywhere.
