Samsung Care+ offer swap or mobile refresh for Samsung smartphone device

Benefits

Regardless of condition, swap your device for a new refurbished one for a one-time service fee. Theft and loss is not covered.

How it works:

1. Submit an Swap request on the Samsung Care+ Portal before 3pm on a business day and we’ll dispatch on the same day, providing a replacement device is in stock.
2. Pay a one-time service fee.
3. Receive a refurbished device before sending back your old device. You’ll have 14 days to return your device, giving you plenty of time to backup and transfer data.



We’ll keep your device working like it’s new for a one-time service fee. Our Certified Technicians can help with:

A. Screen clean or replacement:
Using genuine Samsung parts that won’t void your warranty if necessary or a buff and polish to remove scuffling to restore surface shine

B. Battery replacement:
To ensure your device is powering at full capacity

C. Detailed device clean:
Deep cleanse of the exterior body and all ports, getting into all those hard-to-reach places

D. Diagnostic testing:
To ensure your device is operating at optimal speed, including a full factory reset and operating system reload

  • Where can I purchase Samsung Care+?

    Samsung Care+ can be purchased online or participating retail stores. Click here for more details.
  • Samsung Care+ is not an insurance program. Samsung Care+ is a device Swap and Mobile Refresh program.
  • The number of service requests you can make will depend on your subscription:
    • 2-year upfront enrolment: Up to two Swap or Mobile Refresh requests within the 2-year period.
    • 1-year upfront enrolment: One Swap or one Mobile Refresh request within the 1-year period.
    • Monthly: One Swap or one Mobile Refresh in each 12-month period.
  • A swap request allows you to swap your eligible device with the same or similar device on the payment of a swap fee.
  • For all Samsung Care+ eligibile devices, Click here
  • If your eligible device is subscribed to Samsung Care+, you can lodge a swap request to have a replacement sent to you even if your device is damaged.
  • If your original device is not returned, a Device Non Return fee will be charged.
  • Our goods and services, including Samsung Care+, come with statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

    If your eligible device or any swap device suffers a defect or failure which is covered by a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund (at Samsung’s discretion) for a minor failure or a refund or compensation for a major failure.

    When you request a swap under Samsung Care+, we will ask you to provide information about your device to determine if there is a defect or failure that is covered under a consumer guarantee (and/or the device’s manufacturer’s warranty). Any remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (and/or the manufacturer’s warranty) will not be considered a swap and you will not be required to pay a swap fee.
  • A Mobile Refresh request is a service available to active Samsung Care+ subscribers.

    A Mobile Refresh request consists of:

    •Diagnostic test - we ensure your device is operating at optimal speed, this also includes a full factory reset and operating system reload.

    •Screen refresh - replacement of the LCD screen using genuine OEM parts that won’t void your warranty if necessary5 or a buff and polish to remove scuffing on screen device and help to restore surface shine.

    •Battery replacement - battery replacement to ensure your device is powering at full capacity.

    •Detailed device clean - deep cleanse of the exterior body and all ports, getting in to all those hard-to-reach places ‘



    *Mobile Refresh fees apply. Mobile Refresh services are not available on Galaxy Tabs.
  • No, a Mobile Refresh Request is not the same as a Swap Request. When you make a Swap Request, you will receive a new or Like Mobile Device that gives you a like-new phone experience. A Mobile Refresh is more suited for devices which need to be refreshed rather than swapped, however, depending on the condition of your device you may not be eligible for a Mobile Refresh. If you are enrolled in Samsung Care+, you can request a Swap or Mobile Refresh at any time, as long as you pay the applicable request fee and you have not already used up all your entitlements.   • With the mail-in service, the Mobile Refresh turnaround time is approximately 2 business days (excluding receipt and delivery times).
  • When you make a Mobile Refresh Request here, we will ask a couple of questions to determine whether you are eligible for a Mobile Refresh. When the service technician receives your device, they will also confirm whether they can proceed with the Mobile Refresh through a series of diagnostic tests and a physical assessment. If the technician determines that they cannot perform a Mobile Refresh request, then we will contact you to discuss your options.
  • Yes, we recommend you back-up your data before sending your device to us for a swap or refresh. Click here to find out how to use Smart Switch.

1. Samsung Care+  are not insurance products. With a two year Samsung Care+ subscription, you can request either two swaps, or two mobile refresh (or one of each) within the 24 months from the Samsung Care+ subscription start date. For Swaps: Swap Fee for all eligible devices is from $149 to $299. Samsung Care+ does not cover lost or stolen devices. A swap device is usually a refurbished device of the same model as your current device. If this is not available, we’ll provide a comparable model. Online Exclusive colours and Bespoke Editions are not eligible as replacement devices as part of a Samsung Care+ subscription. You must return your original device within 14 days of receiving a swap device, otherwise you may be charged a Device Non-Return Fee. For your swap device to be dispatched by the next business day, your swap request must be lodged by 3pm AEST on a business day and will be subject to stock availability (including colour variants). Ownership of your original device immediately passes to Samsung’s service provider Asurion once it is swapped and all content will be wiped upon receipt. If your device is covered by warranty or consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law, the swap fee will not apply. For Mobile Refresh: a Refresh Fee of $45 to $99 is payable for all eligible devices. A mobile refresh request must be submitted online and, if accepted, customers may utilise the Mail-In service within 7 days. Mobile refreshes are subject to the device meeting the mobile refresh criteria. Devices that do not meet the criteria may be returned or transferred to a Swap request. 2 Where a replacement device is not in stock, we will communicate to you an estimated delivery date.

^A swap device is a new or refurbished device that is the same model as your current device, or a comparable model.

3. Customers are eligible to purchase Samsung Care+ within 30 days of purchasing your Eligible Device (Post Purchase Application) subject to successfully completing the Post Purchase Declaration via the Samsung Care+ Portal. If you do not complete the Post Purchase Declaration within 30 days from receipt of notice by Samsung, Samsung may reject your enrolment into the Program.

4. Mobile Refresh is not available for Galaxy tablets. Eligibility for a Mobile Refresh will be determined at time of request. Device must be in good working condition without excessive damage.

5. Replacement of LCD screen in a Mobile Refresh is only eligible for the internal folding of the LCD screen of eligible devices Samsung Care+ devices.

10. *From 10th of October 2024 to the 30th of December 2024 get 40% off Samsung Care+ 2 year subscription when you purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ or Tab S10 Ultra in the same transaction on the Samsung Online Store or through a Samsung Experience Store, unless withdrawn earlier. 40% off discount does not apply to the $149 swap fee.
