Using the PENUP App

PENUP is our unique social network that lets users communicate with each other through art. Users from around the world can express thoughts, feelings, and share their lives through drawings created with the S Pen.

PENUP provides several design tools and sketches so there’s always a way to make great art, regardless of your level. Here’s a closer look at some of the features you’ll enjoy with PENUP. 

Similar to othe social platforms, you can like and leave encouraging comments on your favourite artworks, and follow your favourite artists. You'll also have a feed filled with your artwork as well as artwork from other users and tags you follow.

To leave a like you can simply tap the heart icon, or click into the artwork to leave a comment. If you'd like to learn more about an artist and their work, you can click into their profile and view their entire collection. Tap the 'Follow' button if you'd like to stay updated with their new works on your feed.  You can also stay up to date by following tags that interest you.

When checking popular artworks and artists, it can be sorted by period ('Popular today', or 'Popular this week'). There are also categories such as 'Staff picks',  'Hot artists', 'Discover', and 'Hall of Fame' that you could check out. There is also a Collection section that is a gallery made from yours and others' artworks. You can sort your collections based on a particular theme. 

Aside from the social community on the PENUP platform, it also has lots of great features for artists, such as:

• Drawing: Anyone can create sketches and drawings, easily and conveniently.
• Colouring: Choose from an extensive range of pre-made designs to decorate with the colours that speak to you.
• Live Drawing: Improve your drawing skills by watching video tutorials for sketching, drawing pictures, line art, and more.
• Photo Drawing: Use photos to create drawings that bring your imagination to life.
• Challenge: Compete with other users in themed challenges to see who can create the most innovative artwork.
• Drawing Comments: Use drawings as comments to communicate with other artists in a fun way.

Please keep in mind that PENUP is a social community, therefore, to create a safe community and encourage harmony among its users, guidelines have been created.

The community guidelines will apply to all types of content on the platform, and are as follows:

• No indecent exposure or obscene images and language.
  
• No images depicting physical mutilation or gratuitous violence.
• No copyright-infringement.
• No aggressive language and profanity.
• No harassment and threats against others.
• No impersonation and defamation.
• No content harmful to youth, such as drugs, smoking, drinking, or weapons.
• No content promoting terrorism, criminal behaviour, and racial discrimination.
• No spamming or phishing.
