Managing your Samsung Refrigerator Using SmartThings

Connect your Samsung refrigerator to the SmartThings App and manage it with just the touch of a finger. The SmartThings App can help you manage the cooling temperature and find the most efficient ways to keep your food fresh.
Experience Various Features with SmartThings
The SmartThings app is a simple, easy remote controller for your appliance. To use the various and convenient refrigerator functions via the app, connect your Samsung refrigerator* to the SmartThings app on your smartphone. Simply tap the function categories that you want and manage settings.
Make sure your refrigerator and smartphone are connected to a Wi-Fi network before starting. All functions are available with a Wi-Fi connection. Also, sync your Samsung account and SmartThings App with your refrigerator.
NOTE: The SmartThings App is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. Data fees may apply.

Navigate the SmartThings Refrigerator Features
The SmartThings home screen categories may vary depending on the refrigerator model* you have. Design and layout of the app user interface will also vary depending on the app version you have.

Tap the refrigerator card and tap the 3 dots on the top right side of the screen to manage the basic settings.
- Edit: Search and edit your country and location.
- Energy Monitor: You can monitor energy usage with the Energy Monitor here.
- Information: You can see the model number, information, and device type, here.
1. Temperature
Set the temperature of the Fridge and Freezer by adjusting the 'Temperature' bar under the Fridge or Freezer section.
2. Select Mode
You can select the desired modes according to the type of food.
Select Flex Crisper to change the mode for the Fridge.
Select the Mode and press OK.
Select Cool Select+ to change the mode for the Freezer.
Select the Mode and press OK.
3. Power cool / Power freeze
If you want to chill food quicker for optimal freshness, use the 'Power cool'/'Power freeze' sliders. Cold air is blown into the refrigerator to reduce the inside temperature to 1°C quickly but temporarily.
3. Ice Making
You can turn the ice making function on or off, and check the current settings of the function. For compatible models, you can select which ice type you'd like: 'Cubed Ice' or 'Ice Bites'.
1. Shopping List
When connected to your Samsung Account, you are able to monitor and manage your shopping list via the SmartThings App. You can add items by selecting them and tapping 'Add'.
2. Upload pictures and videos
You can choose to upload pictures or videos onto your Family Hub for display. After tapping either 'Picture' or 'Video', you will be redirected to your phone gallery where you can then select the media you would like to send to your Family Hub.
