The
eSafety Commissioner is a government agency dedicated to help keep people safer online. eSafety fosters online safety by exercising powers under Australian government legislation, primarily the Online Safety Act 2021. The Act gives eSafety improved powers to help protect Australians from online harm.
The eSafety Commissioner aims to prevent online harm through research, education programs and raising awareness as well as protect users through regulatory schemes and investigations under the Online Safety Act.
How to report abuse or content to eSafety You can report a complaint about cyberbullying, adult cyber abuse, image-based abuse (sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images without the consent of the person shown) or illegal and restricted online content.
