Why are water droplets or moisture formed on the service valves?

Last Update date : May 20. 2024

[Overview]

Water droplets may appear on the service valve due to high levels of humidity.

[Related Symptom]

Water droplets are present on the service valves.

[Cause]

High Humidity & Refrigerant Overcharge

[Solution]

Abnormal Conditions

● Some condensation may form on the outdoor unit's service valve.

Moisture will be found on the suction service valve.

Possible reasons for this include:

● High Humidity: During monsoon seasons or periods of increased rainfall, humidity levels tend to rise. When temperatures are low and humidity is high, water droplets may form on the service valve.

● Refrigerant Overcharge: If there is an excess of refrigerant in the system, it can lead to condensation on the service valve, causing small droplets to drip onto the ground.
