How to troubleshoot Mobile data issues

Before trying the below troubleshooting steps, please ensure:
- SIM card is active
- Mobile data is turned on
- Data plan is active on your SIM card
- Mobile data quota for daily/ monthly is not exceeded
- Wi-Fi is turned off
- Good signal strength
- Data Roaming is enabled if you are in roaming
- Ensure your phone software is up to date
Sometimes, simply moving to a different location can help you get better network coverage.
Restart your device
If Mobile data is enabled but you are still encountering issues, try force restarting your device.
Note:
- Your data and files will be preserved even if you force restart your device.
- Volume and Side key locations may vary depending on the device model.
Check SIM card preference to use Mobile Data
Path: Settings > Connections> SIM card manager> Mobile data > Choose SIM 1/ SIM 2
Check the Mobile Data usage limit
Set a higher limit. Sometimes, when you use up a lot of your mobile data, the daily limit gets exhausted and it results in the mobile data not working.
Path: Settings > Connections> Data usage> Mobile data usage> Settings> Data limit
Note: ‘Set data limit’ option should be on.
Path: Settings > Connections> Mobile networks> Network mode SIM 1/ SIM 2 > Choose 5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Path: Settings > Connections> Mobile networks >Access point names > More icon > Reset to default
Clean and re-insert the SIM card
Path: Inspect the SIM card for corrosion and clean it.
Note:
- Please note that resetting your networks will reset your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other network settings.
If you tried the methods listed above but you are still unable to use mobile data with your device, you may be experiencing a cell coverage issue. If you recently changed carriers but kept the same phone, you may need to contact your current carrier to reset your device. Please contact your service provider for further assistance.

- After each step, try using mobile data with your device.
