What is Electromagnetic Interference?
Last Update date : Oct 12. 2020
Electromagnetic interference (or EMI) is disturbance that affects an electrical circuit due to either electromagnetic induction or electromagnetic radiation emitted from an external source.
- The disturbance may interrupt, obstruct, or otherwise degrade or limit the effective performance of the display output. These effects can range from a simple degradation of data to a total loss of data. The source may be any object, artificial or natural, that carries rapidly changing electrical currents, such as an electrical circuit, a phone etc.
- The color distortion you see on the sides or corners of your TV may be caused by nearby electromagnetic interference. If you have any electronic devices near the sides of your TV - a set of speakers for example or a fan - move them at least six feet away from the TV. If that doesn't help, try moving your TV to another room.
