What to do when the washing machine runs continuously?
Whether the washer tub is not spinning or just runs way too long the troubleshooting is the same. Watch this video for a detailed explanation of how to do this, with simple steps to follow.
Follow the steps to solve the issue:
1. Check the size and weight of the load.
Spread the laundry around evenly and make sure it doesn't get twisted and packed together to one side.
2. Each wash cycle is designed to wash specific fabric types and soil levels.
Matching the cycle and type of laundry will result in the best performance. Choosing the wrong cycle for your laundry can cause errors, bad performance, or both.
3. Check the washing machine level.
The washing machine should be leveled first before the washer is installed and make sure the floor is stable and free from damage.
To adjust your washing machine, turn the adjustable legs clockwise to raise that corner of the washer, and counterclockwise to lower that corner of the washer.
4. Use water to weigh down the tub and make sure it stays centered (Top load washer only).
5. Unplug the washer, and then fill the tub with water
Fill the tub with water just below the plaster. If the water drains, then you will need to fill it quickly enough that you can perform the next part before it drains.
6. Clean the washing machine pump filter
Locate and open the pump filter.
Clean the washing machine pump filter.
Remove the cup and drain the water.
Fully remove the pump filter.
Clean the pump filter.
Reinsert the pump filter.
Reattach the drain hose.
7. Check the drain hose
- Make sure the washing machine’s drain hose is installed correctly. The height of the hose is to be between 60-100 cm( depending on the model)
- Make sure the drain hose does not form an airtight connection.
- Confirm the drain hose holder is installed.
- Inspect the drain hose for damage, kinks, or bends.
