How to power off your Galaxy phones without a power key

If the power button on your phone is not working or is unresponsive, there are alternative methods to turn off your phone without a power key.
Power off using the Quick settings panel
- Open the Notification Panel: Swipe from the top of your screen and tap the Power icon.
- Tap 'Power Off".
Bixby Voice Assistant
Bixby can carry out a lot of the tasks you do on your Samsung Galaxy devices. Bixby Voice can be activated via a long press on the side button of your device. You can also activate Bixby Voice by following the next steps:
- Click the “Bixby” app icon in the Samsung folder.
- Click the “Start” button.
Once Bixby is active, say "Turn off the phone" or "Power off the phone".

- To use Bixby, you must log in to your Samsung account and connect to your data network (Wi-Fi or data network).
- The Bixby features and content providers may vary depending on the country, language, device model or OS version.
