How to use the ‘Battery and device care’ feature of your Samsung Galaxy smartphone
With the Device care feature, you can optimize the performance of your smartphone and check the status of the battery, storage, memory, etc. When you open Battery and device care, your phone will run a diagnostic check and give you a score out of 100. The higher your score is, the better optimized your device is.
The ‘Battery and device care’ feature ensures a smooth performance of your device by optimizing,
- Battery: an estimated running time for your smartphone until your battery is drained.
- Storage: The space used and space available in your smartphone.
- Memory: How much memory is left in your smartphone. You can use “Clean now” to stop background apps.
- Security: It's important to keep your device secure from any threats to your data.
Follow the steps given in any of these methods to use the ‘Battery and device care’ feature.
Step 1. Go to ‘Settings’
Step 2. Tap ‘Battery and device care’
Step 3. Tap ‘Optimise now’
Step 4. Tap ‘Done’. The device’s battery, storage, memory, and security are optimized now.
You can customize the auto optimization feature to adjust when it will run and whether or not it will close your background apps.
Step 1. Go to ‘Settings’ then select ‘Battery and device care’
Step 2. Tap More options (three dots)
Step 3. Tap ‘Automation’
Step 4. To adjust the auto-optimization schedule tap ‘Auto optimize daily’
Step 5. Tap ‘Time’ and select a suitable time
Step 6. Tap ‘Done’. The device will get optimized at the scheduled time
