What is Secure Folder and how to use it
You’d like to show photos on your phone to your friends and family but don’t want them to see private information? With Secure Folder, you can keep your personal files, apps, and data safe and secure! Just sign in and lock your apps in the Samsung Secure Folder.
Set up Secure Folder
To add files and apps to your Secure Folder, follow these steps:
To add apps, tap More options (the three vertical dots) then tap Add apps (the plus sign). Tap a desired app to put it in the folder, and then tap Add. You'll see a copy of the app in your Secure Folder.
To add files, tap More options (the three vertical dots) and then tap Add files. You can now choose the type of file, or use My Files to find any file on your device.
You can also hide and unhide your Secure Folder from the notification panel by following the next steps:
When the Secure Folder icon is off, your Secure Folder will be hidden. When the icon is on, your Secure Folder will appear in the apps screen.
Step 1. Launch your Secure Folder and enter your lock type.
Step 2. If your code is incorrect, tap Forgot PIN.
Step 3. Then, tap Reset on the pop-up, and sign in to your Samsung account. You will be prompted to select another PIN, pattern, password, or registered fingerprint.
Step 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new security credentials. Now, you’ll be able to access Secure Folder again.
Step 1. Navigate to and open Settings, then search for Secure Folder.
Step 2. Tap More settings, and then tap Uninstall.
Step 3. Review the information, and then tap Uninstall to confirm. You can also select the option for Move media files out of Secure Folder before uninstalling.
