In Galaxy S5, what are the functions of the Recent App key, Home Key, and Back key?

The Left H/W touch key in older models of Samsung Android phones is using it as menu key. But the menu key with Galaxy S5 is now used as Recent Apps Key.
Take example on the comparison between Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S5
With the changing of the left touch key to Recent Apps button, the following can be done.
1. User can more rapidly do transition between applications
2. If tap and hold, you can access additional options for the current screen.
