How Do I Clean the Deodorizer?

Locate the Deodorizer

 The deodorizer cartridges are located in the back of the refrigerator on the left and right sides just below the Beverage Station.

Step One

Remove the deodorizer cover with a common (flat-head) screwdriver.

 Step Two

Remove the deodorizer cartridge and soak it in clean warm water for at least four hours.

Step Three

Dry the cartridge in sunlight for at least eight hours.

Notes

Soaking or drying the cartridge in a confined area may cause the area to fill with odors. Clean the cartridge in a well-ventilated area.

Do not allow children or pets to drink the soaking water.

If There Is Still an Odor...

If the refrigerator has an odor even though the deodorizers are clean, these steps can get it smelling fresh again

1. Remove all the food from the refrigerator.

2. Unplug the refrigerator

3. Leave the doors open for ventilation

4. Remove all the shelves, door bins, and containers. Soak them in warm water. Thoroughly clean them with dish detergent and replace them.

5. Remove the deodorizer and soak it in warm water for at least four hours. Dry it in a sunlit area and then replace.

6. Discard any plastic bags with food stored in them, and put in new bags.
