How Can I Improve Reception On My LCD TV?

Pixelating, ghosting, and snow on LCD TVs are often caused by a weak signal. There are two functions your can use that might strengthen a weak signal and improve your reception:
- The LNA function
- The Fine Tuning function.
Both are described below.
Using the LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) Function
To use the LNA function, follow these steps:
- Turn on your TV.
- Press the Menu button on your remote control. The Main menu appears.
- Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select Channel, and then press the Enter button.
- Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select LNA, and then press the Enter button.
- Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to set LNA On, and then press the Enter button.
- Press the Exit button to exit.
Notes:
- LNA functions only when antenna is set to AIR or CABLE.
- If the picture is noisy with the LNA set to On, select Off.
- The LNA setting must be made separately for each channel.
Using the Fine Tuning Function
To use the Fine Tuning function, follow these steps:
- Turn on your TV.
- Set your TV to the station for which you want to improve reception.
- Press the Menu button on your remote. The Main menu appears.
- Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select Channel, and then press the Enter button. The Channel menu appears.
- Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select Fine Tune, and then press the Enter button. The Fine Tune screen appears.
- Press the Left or Right arrow button on your remote to adjust the fine tuning.
- To store the fine tuning setting to your TV's memory, press the Enter button on your remote.
- Press the Exit button to exit.
Notes:
- Only analog TV channels can be fine tuned.
- A “*” will appear next to the name of fine-tuned channels.
